Pav Bhaji is one of the famous street foods from Mumbai and has been my favorite since a very long time.
Though the literal translation just means bread and vegetables, it’s a lot better than just that 🙂
The recipe:
- Heat some butter
- Add chopped onions and saute for 10 min
- Add tomato puree and heat for another 5 min
- Add little garam masala and “Pav Bhaji” masala (this should be hard to find outside India 😐 )
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Add smashed boiled potates
- Add chopped mushrooms and little spinach puree
- Heat for another 5-8 min
- Serve with bread
